We recognized the extraordinary barriers that exist for undocumented people trying to obtain reproductive health services\u2014including abortion\u2014and started a clinic-based fund to ensure everyone could access care. Since then, we\u2019ve expanded our work to provide support to anyone impacted by the immigration system and anti-trans discrimination. The Mariposa Fund helps cover the gap left by insurance and the state to fund abortion, contraception, and gender-affirming care. We recognize that these barriers are systemic and we work to provide direct financial support to help people access the essential healthcare care they want and need. Our work is guided by values of racial justice, reproductive justice, bodily autonomy, and gender equity.
